PEN is comprised of parent and community volunteers.

LEADERSHIP:

The PEN Leadership Team reports to the Board and is responsible for the day to day operations of the organization. It includes officers, a senior advisor, and committee chairs:

Outreach and Diversity: Rosabelle Rice

Identify tools and provide access to resources for PEN School Team Leaders.
Work with team on the importance of inclusiveness in everything that PEN does and what it means to be inclusive of all parents.

Fundraising: Open

Create and plan fall Founding PEN Pal Campaign and other fundraising efforts.
Set up sponsorship ads for Thrive Parent Handbook.
Pursue grant writer efforts with local foundation, state and federal grants.

PEN Calendar and Events: Kathy Valentine

Set 9-Month Community Conversations Calendar
Ensures that events are inclusive of all parents
Provides logistical support teams for events

Marketing
Works with Calendar/Events committee to design and produce Community Conversations Calendar
Creation of marketing materials for PEN

Thrive/PEN Integration- Fran Raudenbush

Bring the Thrive Parent handbook alive to all parents through book group discussions and presentations at PEN monthly Community Conversations.
Enrolling community members in an advisory group for the regeneration of Thrive.
Developing Thrive as a tool for PEN’s toolkit for parents.

PEN School Team Leader Coaching and Training- Betsy Fox

Works with PEN School Teams to provide support & coaching
Holds monthly coaching session
Works with PEN School Teams to create a visioning to action plan for their school

PEN Parenting Book Groups- Sandy Hay and Fawnda Hathaway

Organize and run parenting discussion group Kick-offs throughout the school year.

Childcare Coordinator- Kathleen Sepeda

Help meet the PEN goal of inclusivity, by provision of free childcare at all Community Conversation events.
