U.S. Department of Education calls on PEN

Creating a Caring, Connected, Safe Community in Partnership with All Adults and Youth

U.S. Department of Education, Office of Safe and Drug Free Schools National Conference, on behalf of BVSD Safe and Drug Free Schools, the Parent Engagement Network, has been invited to present at, The Power of Change: Healthy Students, Safe Schools, and Engaged Communities on August 4th, 2009.

Recognized for its successful parent engagement in Boulder, PEN has been asked to share its strategies with other grantees, education and prevention leaders, as well as researchers and experts in this field.

Paula Nelson, PEN Chair, and Betsy Fox, PEN Lead Coach, will present, “The Power of Parents: Engaging Parents As Allies in Healthy, Safe, and Drug-free Schools”. They are honored to share the impressive work that has been done in our community.
