Bridging the Gaps

PEN programs and services will help you bridge the gap between where you are and where you want to be as a parent

We focus on giving you the knowledge, resources, tools and strategies you need to find strength, confidence and joy in your parenting

Parent Education

Parenting is a learned skill. Without ongoing education, you are left parenting only from what you already know. In a world that is constantly changing and evolving, it is our responsibility to stay current on what our children face on a daily basis.  They need support and guidance, and you are the best person to collect tools and develop strategies that protect and prepare them for the world.  Our educational opportunities provide current, relevant, best-practice information in a format that is digestible and easy to apply. You will leave knowing you are not alone in this important journey.

Schools

Your child’s ability to learn is dependent on much more than what they are taught. Friendships, mental health, sleep, and problems at home are some of the many factors that can impact a child’s ability to focus at school. That is why PEN trains and devleops parents to be leaders in their school. These parents pay attention to the unique challenges facing students, and we assist them in creating solutions for those challenges.  Parent leaders work with PEN to support school staff and administration around family-school partnership goals.  When a child’s social-emotional needs are met, they can focus on school.

Community Partners

PEN could not do what we do without our trusted community partners. When you engage with PEN, you are getting exposure to some of the best thought leaders in the field. All partners are carefully vetted to bring you cutting edge information, support and resources in three main areas including prevention (e.g., relationship building and communication, social-emotional well-being, child & adolescent development), risk-taking behaviors (e.g., drug & alcohol use, suicide prevention, stress & anxiety), and preparing them for the future (e.g., school transition programs, financial literacy, launching into the world as a young adult).
